Editorial Policy
Every SeniorHaven guide is written to the same standard: useful, honest, and written for a real person making a real decision.
How we choose products
- We start from aggregated buyer reviews and manufacturer-published specifications — not from whoever pays the highest commission.
- For safety-critical products (bed rails, walkers), we look for recognized certifications (for example, ASTM F3186-17 for adult bed rails) and we tell you when certification matters.
- Every roundup includes honest drawbacks. No product is perfect; we say what each one is bad at.
- We never copy another site's reviews or text. Research is ours; opinions are ours.
What we will not publish
- No medical advice. We are not medical professionals, and we do not pretend to be. We do not publish diagnosis or treatment content — on this site or anywhere else. If you have a health concern, see a professional.
- No fabricated testing. We say "buyers report" when the evidence is buyer reviews, and "the manufacturer states" when it is specs. We do not invent lab results or personal trials we did not run.
- No paid rankings. Sponsored placement in a buying guide is permanently off the table.
